Although I haven't planned to collect any bryos (it's a SSSI and I would need permission) I thought id let you know in case this was useful in anyway, or if there was anything you wanted me to look out for ? I'll be armed with a camera and GPS as a minimum.
It is the most southerly part of South Wales after all !
Flat Holm has just 1 bryophyte record, so anything you find is likely to be new. However, it really needs a late winter visit to pick up the more interesting Limestone species. We've tried unsuccessfully to arrange a group trip, so it may be we just have to get across as and when. Good luck and remember to try to get records from both tetrads😉

ReplyDeleteHiya Barry ! oh a good hunting ground...Ill be scouring the cliffs for water seepages so ill be in the right place...ill get photos and small samples if there is enough to do it and I have permission. If not ill just record locations and make a map which I can send to you for a future visit. Im excited now !
