Fruiting Pohlia melanodon at Rhossili

Another common species that fruits rarely, encountered yesterday at the head of seepage on a slumping cliff above Rhossili Beach. Many capsules seemed to have been frosted/eaten/aborted, but there were plenty that were still well developed. Associates included Riccardia chamedryfolia, Cratoneuron filicinum and Didymodon tophaceus.
